About me: #

Welcome to my personal website, I am Tom Bachard, doctor in signal processing. I conducted my PhD under the supervision of Thomas Maugey in the COMPACT team, former SIROCCO team, at INRIA Bretagne, France. In my work, I investigate new methods of compression (AI-based, semantics-based, DNA-based) at extremely low bitrate.

On a personal note, I play and teach competitive bridge, and I have been learning Japanese on my own for a few years ( but I’m still bad at it). I gathered some resources heere that, I hope, can be as useful to you as they have been to me.
